Where Did They Go?

Yikes, I’ve been posting this week, but I none of the blogs are up here.  Whatever I’ll just post those blogs next week and have less work to do.

I just want everyone to know we’re having a jam tonight!  We haven’t jammed in a while because of recording and this is going to be some fun times.

p.s. that cat can sing

The Grammys

Hi hi hi oh my brothers,

Back again I am, and hopefully in fine enough form.  Friday was an interesting day for me in the sense that I experienced my first bout of writers block.  I hope that I can keep finding things to write about and I must admit that writing every day is fun but on Friday there was just nothing I felt passionate enough to write about.

Now, however I’m back and I’m torn into an emotional flag, tattered and blowing in the brisk winds of change and tradition.  What could do this sort of damage to a young man?  Well it was the Grammy Awards that went on last night.

1. I hate commercialized crap.  The grammys, superbowl, and all the rest of this ‘sell stuff on t.v.’, waste loads of money to make fancy shows, and generally just forget about the problems in the world.  So it doesn’t take much to keep me away from such a ridiculous event.

2. I love music.  I do however hear my mom watching the ol’ t.v. and wind up watching performances by my favorite musicians…Coldplay, Sir Paul McCartney!

This is where I begin to get distraught though.  The musical acts don’t seem to stay on the same calibre as each other.  Coldplay and Paul McCartney have huge followings and are, in my opinion, some of the greatest musicians around.  Why then do they share the stage with Kid Rock (Who got more time than Paul McCartney) and Miley Cirus (who probably hasn’t even heard of The Beatles).

The only thing that I can be thankful for is that Paul didn’t team up with some new age act and sell his soul to the music industry devil.  Shame on you Stevie Wonder, I thought you were great until last night.

p.s. The longest word in the English language, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, is pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.
